Today the lovely Sue DeGennaro and I will be doing a couple of sessions on picture books at The Thousand Words Festival at the Northcote Town Hall at 11.30 and 12.30. It should be a great festival this year.
Then Monday - don't forget! - it's the once only production of the animated versions of The Rainbirds and The Night Garden at the Melbourne Recital Centre. I have seen a preview of the show and it is really something quite magical and would be a beautiful thing to do on the first Monday of the school holidays with your littlies. Tickets are still available. Happy holidays!
Hi Sally,
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed you at The Ipswich Children's Literary Festival. I really wanted to attend and there was a brilliant line up authors, including youself :) There's always so many great festivals at this time of year. I don't know how authors and presenters manage to visit so many festivals and meet so many children. It must be a mixture of sleep deprivation, adrenline, and those big smiles that make you feel like a rockstar.
All the best with the production of The Rainbirds and The Night Garden. How exciting for you!
Thanks Renee,
ReplyDeleteIt would have been lovely to meet you, too. Yes, it has been a very busy time. Quite enjoying the slower pace now I must say!
The Rainbirds production was stunning. We are hoping it might tour so fingers crossed!
